ACTON, Mass. – September 29, 2008 – eIQnetworks®,
Inc., a global provider of integrated security, risk and audit
management solutions, today released SecureVue®
3.1, the latest version of the company’s flagship product,
with enhancements to better correlate and present the broadest
array of data types related to security and compliance,
enabling more effective detection of security incidents.
eIQnetworks SecureVue is the only solution on the market that
goes beyond correlating just log data by including asset,
performance, configuration, and flow data sources as well.
“SecureVue’s latest release demonstrates how eIQnetworks is
raising the bar in terms of correlating all data to help our
customers respond more effectively to security incidents and
to prove that compliance mandates are being addressed,” said
Vijay Basani, chief executive officer of eIQnetworks. “The new
interface and workflow capabilities, plus enhancements in our
data collection and correlation engines, demonstrate our focus
on solving significant problems for large enterprises and
government agencies.”
Among the enhancements to SecureVue 3.1:
-
Enhanced user information and access: eIQnetworks SecureVue
provides a new user interface, with dashboards, monitors and
HTML and PDF reports that more intuitively present information
on potential vulnerabilities and threats. Customers can also
now access SecureVue from a JAVA Console as well as a browser
to add more flexibility in managing organizational security.
-
Workflow management: SecureVue provides a workflow for the
resolution of identified security concerns, creating a ticket
that can be accessed and edited by different internal teams.
By capitalizing on the collective experience of internal
security and IT professionals, SecureVue improves operational
efficiency, facilitates tighter collaboration, and helps users
investigate and remediate security concerns faster.
-
Broader support for configuration and vulnerability data: The
new version includes a new configuration parser that can
access non-standard configuration files quickly, and now
supports a feed from Qualys’ vulnerability scanner. With these
enhancements, SecureVue can provide alerts and recommendations
based on a clearer picture of a corporate IT security posture.
-
Agent to track device level information: Customers can choose
to install a new small agent on network nodes to collect and
correlate device level information, including USB port
activity. The insertion of a USB memory stick and the transfer
of files to an attached device present potential security
risks and often violate corporate policies, and SecureVue can
now monitor these and other USB-related activities.
Basani added, “Because SecureVue provides agility for IT pros
by correlating information from so many data sources,
customers are empowered to react faster and can more
effectively run their security operations as they are alerted
earlier about attacks that elude other security approaches to
information correlation and management."
SecureVue 3.1 is available immediately through eIQnetworks
global distribution channels.
